The event took place from May 9-17 and showcased the latest technology from Eyelock, the ruggedized nano EXT which is the world’s first indoor/outdoor iris reader.

The annual DHS Biometric Technology Rally aims to challenge leading providers in the biometrics industry to provide face, fingerprint and iris recognition systems that meet specific Department of Homeland Security use cases.

With the focus on face, iris and fingerprint data collection systems, as well as biometric matching algorithms that can achieve the defined performance targets, the Rally calls for the development of high-throughput biometric platforms that provide fast and accurate user recognition for DHS operations and applications such as passenger entry and exit and security checkpoints.
